potty king

So we've been semi-working w/ landon using the potty...today around nap time i took him to the potty and he pee peed...how excited were we....I called Will to the room and we were giving landon high fives and dancing around...it was funny. So we took him to target and got him this buzz lightyear toy he's been eyeing every time we're there...he loves it, was playing with it all night. We also converted his bed to a toddler bed. We figured nothing else works w/ his sleeping so this couldnt hurt. He slept on it for nap time and i'll update everyone after tonite. He seems to like it, but we'll see. Before we went to bath tonite he went pee pee again in the potty. While at target we also got him this Elmo potty book (he has a thing for elmo right now). I'm so proud of him...lets hope he keeps it up...even though he went in the potty he still went on the floor too like 10 min. later...haha...oh well..."baby" steps...here's a cute pic of tonite after he went.

Who knew?....

I've been tagged...
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. Although I'm a nice person and mostly mild tempered, I can have a very, VERY bad temper if I'm pushed to that breaking point. And its not like anyone can get me there...only 3 people in my entire life can get me to reach that moment of complete insanity where i seriously have NO control or like my head is going to explode...who you ask...my dad ( but not since highschool days), my ex-boyfriend (who is now a great friend and does not make me angry) and my husband....(hmm..not a great thing is it......) oh well- we're working on that.

2. I LOVED college. For real, it was the greatest time of my life.....Sure there were stinky moments too..but in all, I have no regrets and sometimes daydream of going back to that time.

3. I like reading romance novels....definitely more romance than i've seen in a while...not that i'm not to blame though....

4. When my son was born there was a moment i thought he was going to die. Of course that's being a little melodramatic, but for those few seconds he was blue and not breathing i prayed to god for him to be okay...and he was, and now i love that little devil. =)

5. For the first 6 months after Landon was born I really should've been on antidepressants but was too ashamed to talk to the doctor about it (prob. b/c i was a nurse or whatever) I was so sad and happy and miserable and guilty and exhausted and utterly in love w/ my child all at once. I had very bad thoughts some time...about myself, not Landon. Glad that's over with but kinda worries me for the next child. Wish I lived closer to family and friends (at least i'm a little closer for next time, wish it could be 5 minutes close though.)

6. When I was a kid I wanted to be an archaeologist. Now I look at vagina all day, and help bring babies into the world...haha...who'd-a-thunk?

most everyone i know that blogs has been tagged. So i tag Alexis, Jen, Jeri, Stef, and Sandra

growing up

So Landon has moved up to the next class in "school". (*sniff, my baby is growing up). I picked him up today and he was being transitioned into his new class. Some of the kids are the same and he knows the teacher...So when i went in to pick him up the teacher was in the bathroom w/ him so landon could sit on the potty...they try to start teaching them to use the potty...We've started at home too, just sitting for fun, but he has yet to use it...tonite at bath time he pulled his stool over to the potty and took out his elmo potty seat and said "potty". He of course didnt use it...but then he peed all over the floor..niiiice. His vocabulary has definitely tripled in the last couple weeks...its crazy..he talks so much...His new favorite thing to do is throw tantrums when he has to get in the carseat..SERIOUSLY the most FRUSTRATING thing in the world right now....It takes all the energy i have not to yank my hair out...i already dont have the greatest patience but this takes all i got. He wants to play in the car and beep the horn and push the buttons..everything but sit in his seat...I saw this neat thing in a kids magazine that its like a dashboard(steering wheel/buttons) that you can put on/in the carseat..so i'm thinking maybe that'll help, i of course want it right NOW, and i cant....Anyone have any suggestions????

That's bout it...still working nights, which drains me, but my paychecks are nicer...and that's all folks.....

this is from Vollmer Farms (pumpkin patch and playgrounds in stuff)

monkeying around

So Halloween has come and gone...Landon did alright for his first time trick or treating...granted we only went to like 5 houses but still. I was kinda disappointed w/ our neighborhood. I was all hoping it was family oriented when we moved here, and not so much. Half the houses didnt have their lights on and werent participating in the halloween festivities....oh well, we'll do something different next year... Landon had a parade at his "school" on the 30th and that was cute...seeing all his little friends in their costumes (whew was that a mess, cute..., but a hot mess.) Here's some pics from the fun
